Physical symptoms:
  • Flat Face
  • Small head and ears

  • Slanted eyes
  • Oddly shaped ears
  • Palms with a single crease
  • Short fingers
  • Small hands and feet
  • Extreme flexibility
  • Short height
  • Slow physical development
  • Small white spots on the iris called Brushfield spots
  • Poor muscle tone
Developmental symptoms:
  • Short attention span
  • Poor judgement
  • Slow learning
  • Impulsive behaviour
  • Delayed development of language and communication skills
  • Slow development of motor skills
 
Related health problems:
  • Heart defects
  • Hearing and vision problems
  • hip problems, such as dislocations
  • leukemia
  • sleep apnea
  • dementia 
  • obesity
  • late tooth growth
And an overall increased suceptibility to health problems.
